Description:
We are actively seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. The role primarily involves overseeing administrative and financial operations, providing mentorship, and implementing best practices. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage financial activities within the organization, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the finance team members
- Review existing operational procedures and recommend improvements based on industry best practices
- Conduct executive reviews and handle administrative matters to ensure optimal operations
- Work closely with Human Resources (HR) and provide administrative support as needed
- Assist in non-profit accounting and ensure financial transparency and compliance
- Facilitate and participate in committee meetings for strategic planning and decision-making
- Collaborate with the Facilities Management team to plan and implement better facilities strategies
- Prepare comprehensive reports for the board detailing financial status and operational progress
- Stay updated with new technologies and incorporate them into the operational strategy to increase efficiency.
- Proven experience in Facilities Management, demonstrating a keen understanding of maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Proficiency in Board Reporting, with the ability to present clear and accurate operational updates to board members.
- Experience in leading Committee Meetings, showcasing strong leadership and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration, including managing staff hiring, training, and retention processes.
- Demonstrated skills in Financial Management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Expertise in Non-profit Accounting, with a deep understanding of fiscal management in the non-profit sector.
