Description:

We have an opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the team at Stockland Rockhampton Shopping Centre.
The largest regional centre between Maroochydore and Mackay, Stockland Rockhampton is a vibrant and dynamic town centre destination. Anchored by Woolworths, Coles, Kmart, Big W and Birch Carroll and Coyle, Stockland Rockhampton offers an extensive selection of stores and services comprised of 12 mini majors and more than 160 speciality stores. The Centre is also home to a Child Care Centre, a six-screen cinema complex, and an expanded casual dining and entertainment precinct.

ABOUT YOU

  • Operations Management experience with a background in Commercial Property (ideally Retail) would be advantageous or extensive facilities management, alternatively from a trades background with exposure to day-to-day operations and looking for that next step into an operations management role
  • Experience in formulating and monitoring budgets
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S and legislative compliance and practices
  • Natural team leader with ability to coach and mentor
  • Strong client service focus, with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Available to work one Saturday in every five weekends

Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of the Centre whilst controlling expenditure within budget. You will ensure proper and efficient operations of the Centre’s physical aspects, creating and sustaining a safe and productive environment for the occupants.

Daily responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Day-to-day management of all matters relating to operations, risk and compliance, contractor management
  • Design and develop project management policies, procedures and reporting systems.
  • Promote and ensure full compliance with the RETAIL HS&E Plan
  • Ensure the asset is maintained to a high standard of presentation, conducting regular inspections of the entire property including all common areas and plant rooms
  • Manage projects of major building works for Retail including demolitions, make goods, fit outs, refurbishments, major repairs, and service installations
  • Manage a planned preventative maintenance program
  • Assist in delivery of our target reduction programs regarding energy, water and waste
  • Provide technical building and construction advice to relevant stakeholders
  • Build team capability through sharing knowledge and best practices and provide assistance to other team members
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through delivery of outstanding service
