POST SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager for the Book of Kells Experience will report to the Head of Visitor Experience and Operations, and play a key role in leading and delivering the front of house and operational management of the Book of Kells visitor attraction.
The Operations Manager has responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day operational management and administration of the attraction, including front-of-house, building, staff management, team recruitment and training.
They will line manage a team across multiple sites within Trinity which includes 7 supervisors who directly supervise a team of approximately 50 staff members made up of library guards, visitor experience officers and student ambassadors. This team number increases during peak summer seasons.
The Operations Manager will work in a busy environment and will work closely with members of the library team and the Trinity Trails team, as well as the education officer and admin support staff.
This role will support the Head of Visitor Experience and Operations in leading and motivating a large team of staff members. They will oversee rosters and leave management ensuring our team management system is working at its optimum level. They will be responsible for maximising ticket sales and yield management as well as ensuring that the visitor attraction is delivering a world class tourism offering for visitors.

POST STATUS: PERMANENT

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€56,703 - €66,627 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
