We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our family on a full-time basis. As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of all departments in the hotel (an emphasis on front facing departments FOH and F&B), working closely and alongside all HOD’s. This position reports to the Hotel Manager.
Working pattern: 5 days on and 2 days off / multiple shift patterns

THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE WITH A HANDS-ON OPERATIONAL APPROACH WITH A HIGH LEVEL OF GUEST ENGAGEMENT AND INTERACTION IN LINE WITH FORBES 5-STAR STANDARDS.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in both FO and F&B with a proven track record of managing a team. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail is a must and someone with a positive attitude towards training and development and enjoys delivering personalised outstanding service to our guests.

As an Operations Manager you will be:

  • Motivating, leading and developing supervisors and team members along with an ongoing and consistent management style to drive standards and revenue.
  • Supporting HOD’s in ensuring their departments are running at the correct headcount, not over or understaffed for the operation.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Hotel Manager Ensure Forbes standards maintained.
  • Present in each department while embracing and encouraging innovation across all operations.
  • Identifying weaknesses and training needs of the team, implement as required.
  • Overseeing and driving successful recruitment practices, assist HOD’s with recruitment as required.
  • Monitoring and updating training manuals, departmental induction manuals and job descriptions.
  • Ensuring purchases are actioned as and when required and department P&Ls are when raising PO’s.
