Description:

The Operations Manager shall provide day-to-day management of all projects. The Operations Manager shall act as a liaison between customers, subcontractors, government agencies, and Transform Energy management. Works under the direction of the Transform Energy CEO and Director of Operations. As an “at will” employee, employment may be terminated at any time by the employee or employer with or without notice and with or without cause. Provides day-to-day Operations management working with key stakeholders to deliver outcomes consistent with established policies and procedures, recommending changes as appropriate. Frequent contact with Transform Energy team members, the Chief Executive Officer, Director
of Operations, VP of Finance, Construction Manager, external and internal customers, superintendents, project managers and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Knowledge of operations, construction project management, solar, and solar knowledge desired. PMP Project Management Professional Certification a plus. Bachelor’s degree in business, operations or a related field a plus.
Experience: The individual selected must have three years of management / operations experience including project management, scheduling, purchasing and general management experience.

  • Previous experience in project coordination/project management required.
  • Ability to read solar blueprints and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and daily activities to timely completion.
  • Ability to research, source and create solutions for essential function deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.

  • Must have a strong work ethic, attendance and sense of urgency.

  • Must be able to successfully complete prescreen background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with clients.
  • Oversee total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, A/E representatives, union officials, subcontractors, security, etc.
  • Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required.
  • Maintain official project log and documentation files.
  • Assist with the implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
  • Provide directions to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
  • Contract review to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Develop and send out bid requests to Engineers, Subcontractors, and Vendors, evaluating the responses to award contracts based on price, value, experience, customer service, etc.
  • Review engineering drawings to ensure proper system design to meet customers’ needs and deliverables of the contract.
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings and track action items.
  • Risk planning and mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain construction documents to ensure the operations team has the most recent construction documents.
  • Track daily reporting, internal labor budgets, and open tasks on all projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Forecast current and expected costs against the budget weekly to ensure the financial performance of projects.
  • Perform onsite visits to liaison with Construction Managers to ensure all metrics of project are being met in accordance to plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.
