Description:

Truce Law, PLLC is looking for a fully remote Operations Manager to join our growing team.
Our law firm sets itself apart by focusing on the long-term stability of clients. We market to clients who are looking for low-conflict collaborative divorce, with truly contested divorce cases being a last option at our firm. If you’ve experienced the fallout from a contested family law matter, you’ll understand how valuable an amicable approach can be for a family.
If you can see yourself fitting in with a group of legal professionals working with clients who are interested in settling their family issues peacefully through negotiation, Truce Law is the place for you.
As an Operations Manager, you’ll oversee our operations department leading weekly 1 to 1 sessions with individuals on your team to check in, provide support, and track KPIs. You’ll also lead the quarterly review of KPIs across the firm. Currently, your team includes our Office Assistant, Office Manager, Case Manager, and Legal Receptionist. As you help to improve our systems, the firm will expand and your team will grow. If you are a great communicator and resourceful delegator, and pride yourself in your ability to coach people to reach their true potential, you have the opportunity to really thrive at Truce.
In addition to leading your team, you’ll take the lead in Human Resources, fielding all HR related questions from staff, while working closely with our HR partner, Archbright, and when needed our Employment Attorney. In this function, you’ll approve payroll on a bi-monthly basis once processed by our Finance Department to ensure things like PTO, Overtime, and Flex Time are properly tracked.
The ideal Operations Manager has an affinity for identifying and building critical processes, which will improve the lives of our team and our clients. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from and work closely with our fractional COO along the way and will be able to follow team progress through our cloud-based training and onboarding software, Trainual. You’ll also work closely with our IT vendor to optimize firm technology and implement IT policies so that the firm is taking advantage of the latest opportunities in technology and is adequately protected from cyber security risks.
Our team loves working for Truce Law because of our relaxed atmosphere, and our focus on collaborative law, which means our attorneys and staff aren’t regularly facing higher conflict cases (and the associated stress involved). We believe in developing and promoting from within our firm, so there are opportunities for growth. Finally, we have a diverse staff from around the world, which allows us to be more creative and innovative as we can approach issues from a global perspective. No matter where in the US you’re applying from, we’d love to have you join us too.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the organization
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic decision-making
  • Oversee and manage remote teams, ensuring productivity and performance goals are met
  • Collaborate with department heads to streamline processes and enhance cross-functional communication
  • Utilize law firm experience to ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standard
