Vartan Aero is looking for a qualified Operations Manager to work at our Charleston, SC location where we provide support to Boeing and its suppliers. The right candidate must have the right attitude and experience necessary to lead our team in Charleston.

Salary Potential: $90K-$110K + Vehicle Stipend

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • 2 years of experience in the aerospace field
  • Motivated and customer focused
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Flexible work schedule including off-shifts and weekends as necessary
  • Open to travel

Responsibilities:

  • Overall operational responsibility for VARTAN operations in Charleston
  • Act as focal point for our customers and partners such as Boeing
  • Lead and coach team members to achieve excellence and ensure a great working environment
  • Oversee and prioritize daily statement of work
  • Ensure work is performed in timely manner and meets customer requirements
  • Verify billable time for work performed by employees – prepare all billable time monthly for invoice creation and resolve all related customer inquiries
  • Create and provide reports to both company leadership and customers/Boeing
  • Attend and schedule meetings as required by customers and internal stakeholders
  • Act as disciplinary focal for all employee issues and perform regular feedback and performance evaluations
  • Ensure staffing needs meet requirements based on data and forecast and perform hiring activities in cooperation with human resource department
  • Ensure employee trainings and qualifications are up to date and meet customer requirements – develop and schedule OJT and classroom trainings as required
  • Track, analyze, and take action on key KPIs
  • Obtain an elevated understanding of processes, procedures and responsibilities performed by direct reports
  • Build relationships and demonstrate solid customer service skills
  • Attend internal and third-party audits, performing root cause corrective action for any findings
  • Drive continuous improvement of site
  • Perform all other duties as required to ensure site continuity, growth, and success
