JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our diverse farm, ensuring optimal productivity, profitability, and sustainability. This role involves managing resources, coordinating activities, and leading a team to achieve operational goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in farm management, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to sustainable farming practices.

  • Strong understanding of agricultural practices, crop/livestock management, and farm machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily farm operations, including planting, harvesting, and livestock management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all agricultural regulations and industry standards.
  • Resource Management:
  • Manage farm resources, including equipment, supplies, and labor.
  • Monitor and maintain farm equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs.
  • Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary inputs.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and lead a team of farm workers.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
    -Develop and implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Financial Management:
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for farm operations.
  • Monitor expenses and manage cost control measures.
  • Analyze financial reports and provide insights for improving profitability.
  • Sustainability and Innovation:
  • Implement sustainable farming practices to enhance soil health, water management, and biodiversity.
  • Stay updated with the latest agricultural technologies and practices.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in farm operations.
