  • Oversees Production, Warehouse, and Facility departments
  • Assists in preparing departmental costs and variances with regard to productivity, short and long-range planning, labor scheduling, product scheduling, raw materials, packaging supplies, product weights, sanitation and housekeeping
  • Processes all paperwork from the previous day and distribute to proper departments.
  • Works with third party logistics to ensure customers’ needs are met or exceeded.
  • Assists in managing production personnel and schedules, ensures proper training of all production employees and handles employee relation issues.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces policies and safety regulations
  • Assists in scheduling plant staff
  • Ensures that products are trimmed and cut to customer specifications
  • Organize and facilitate production line activities to ensure conformance to establish requirements regarding quality, safety, employee- relations, productivity and cost scheduled volume outputs
  • Support Employee involvement in Safety, Analytical Problem Solving, Project Planning, Vendor and Customer Relations, fostering a team atmosphere.
  • Make sure that all labeling is correct and legible including dates and item codes
  • Track throughput, pounds and cases per hour of production
  • Track mechanical downtime with QA team
  • Make sure all equipment is assembled and operational
  • Responsible for scheduling PM’s for all production equipment
  • Provides production/labor planning with leads on a daily basis as well as status updates to ensure labor needs and best practices.
  • Monitors and maintains daily productivity levels in the department.
  • Maintains positive customer service interaction with internal customers, such as HR, customer services, sales, logistics, operations, etc.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 or more years of production supervision experience

  • Meat production experience.
  • Willing to work in a cold environment.
  • Ability to report/track trending and historical data.
  • Advance math and financial skills a must.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, (Excel, Access, Power Point), data entry and general computer abilities.
  • Other duties as assigned
