Description:

Ready for a change? Looking for a role that you can develop into? Are you a
hands-on Operations Manager ready for your big break? We are looking for
someone like you. We’re currently recruiting for a Operations Manager to be
based at our site in Hanley for our contract with Fuchs. You’ll be
responsible for a long-standing contract, managing a team of 20, at the
customer premises. You’ll oversee the safe, compliant and accurate delivery
of Fuchs products, across Monday to Friday.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £43,000 per annum. In addition, we
offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy
additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Oversee the traffic office and supervisory team.
- Responsible for first-line driver management, including conducting
driver appraisals, identifying training needs, and improving staff
skills.
- Manage the allocation of work, lost mileage, network issues, and
punctuality.
- Ensure compliance with policies, standard operating procedures, and
all relevant legislation.
- Support the General Manager in delivering agreed plans and budgets,
maintaining established levels of service and quality.
- Adhere to the Operator’s Licence undertakings.
- Conduct daily KPI checks including random drug and alcohol testing,
driving licence checks, gate checks, service monitoring, and depot
punctuality.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced
environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think
on your feet
- Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a
transport environment
- Every day you’ll need to have an eye on continuous improvement of
