Responsibilities:

Location: Oxford
Start: April 2025
Reports to: Oxford Operations Manager
Working pattern: Full time (Weekend shifts are shared across the department, with time given back in lieu)

As an Operations Officer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional summer courses for international students in Oxford. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has strong organisational skills, a proactive approach, and thrives on working with teams on-site during the summer. Key aspects of the role include:

  • Planning and Logistics: Assist with the planning and booking of timetables, day trips, local excursions, and restaurant visits to ensure seamless delivery of our social and cultural programme.
  • Staff Recruitment and Training: Support the selection and onboarding of on-course staff, including conducting interviews and assisting with training sessions.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, host colleges, and suppliers through email, phone, and in-person communication.
  • Site Presence: Be present at college sites during the core delivery period (July-August) to assist with day-to-day operational support, including occasional weekends.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and address issues, escalating when necessary to maintain smooth operations.
  • Resource Management: Manage information and equipment, including preparing kits for course delivery.
  • Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding regulations
