PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Our client is an UK subsidiary of a Global Financial Institution.
Role is for an experienced Operations Payment Business Analyst to join them.
SKILLS
Must have
5+ years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst in top tier banks
specifically in relation to payments processing, standardisation, reconciliations, payments regulation, fraud, anti-money laundering, financial crime systems
Good knowledge across most asset classes, in particular Interest Rate, FX and Loan products
Excellent knowledge of industry payments standards/ changes, including SEPA Rulebooks/ SWIFT Standards that are being introduced into the payments world, plus for example ISO20022, PSD3/PSR
Experience of ISO migrations and toolsets that have been designed, implemented regarding payment translation tools i.e. MX-> MT
A strong understanding and familiarity with standard market practices and knowledge, experience of the following payment platforms: o Low Value Payments/ Schemes i.e. BACs, SEPA Direct Debits/ Credit Transfers, Faster Payments (FPS) o High Value Payments/ Schemes i.e. SWIFT, TARGET2, CHAPs, RTGS In addition:
Excellent knowledge and experience of OPS functions.

The successful candidate will need extensive experience in Banking, specifically in relation to payments processing, standardisation, reconciliations, payments regulation, fraud, anti-money laundering, financial crime systems.
A good understanding of Ops processes and system feed changes for payments for the above product set.
Ability to resolve issues during delivery, being able to explain these to stakeholders and to Technology delivery teams.
Ability and experience of working under pressure

Ability to liaise with business and IT stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
Solid communication skills
both written and oral
Ideally, good knowledge of the Murex platform
A good understanding of Vanilla Interest Rate products
A strong delivery track record and someone who can really take ownership of managing Operations related tasks
A good understanding of the software development lifecycle and PDLC
Excellent knowledge and experience of Operations functions and key processes – trade lifecycle, settlements, confirmations, collateral management.
A good understanding of Operations processes and system feed changes regarding payments. Personal Requirements:

Responsibilities:
BA responsibilities of SWIFT Payments related changes across retail and investment arms of the bank.
The requirement is for a SME to perform analysis of SWIFT ISO 20002 changes impacting MUFG Securities and MUFG Bank systems. This will consist of:
Supporting the business to gather formal Business Requirements and input into the Technical design documents.
Supporting the business to review and provide input into As-is and To-Be workflows.
Performing GAP analysis between current state and proposed state solutions.
Formulating testing approaches and support writing of test plans
Completing project/work-stream status reports.
General ad-hoc support for any new requirements or issues related to the project.
Ability to deal with trade lifecycle queries
Problem solving of issues as they occur throughout the project lifecycle
