JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Planning Coordinator is responsible for executing the daily production plan by validating and coordinating with the MPS, Operations Manager, and Shipping & Utilities Supervisor. This involves understanding of the MPS’ weekly, monthly and quarterly rough schedule along with the capability of plant assets and personnel. To do so all process orders and transfers are created and maintained in the correct order, to support operations and utility operations (shipping and receiving). The Operations Planning Coordinator partners with the Production Planner to ensure accurate and timely Raw and Packaging Material flow into the plant. As part of the MPS Team, not only does the Operations Planning Coordinator fill in for the MPS when out but assists other areas within the department as capable and needed. Cross training in all roles is essential to success in this position.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Preferred educational background includes business administration, accounting, logistics, or related technical field.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years Manufacturing and/or Logistics experience (or equivalent) is required.
  • SAP Product, MRP, and ATP Module experience is required.
  • Chemical plant manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes daily production plan for operations (all reactors and catalyst columns) and utility operations (all packaging).
  • Creates process orders to support plant all production and transfers.
  • Creates process orders to support the packaging plan.
  • Creates all product transfer orders for operations and utility operations.
  • Oversees timely and accurate operational SAP transactions such as goods receipts and goods issues as needed to correct process order variances and other problems elsewhere in the process.
  • Responsible for the management of the day-to-day raw material and packaging transfers for tollers.
  • Supports site in Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts.
  • Involved with others (Operations Manager, Controller, QC Manager and Engineering) to insure BOM accuracy and POV.
  • Coordinates SAP returns processing from customers against authorized return sales orders and coordinates with Customer Service.
  • This position acts as a backup in succession to the Master Production Scheduler position.
  • Interacts with a variety of other positions – both internal and external to Aurorium
  • Undertakes other duties as may be required by Aurorium as necessary.
  • Participates in end of the month process order cleanup
