Job Title: Operations Research Analyst Entry II
Security Clearance: Secret
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience Requirement: Minimum of two (2) years of experience preparing and updating cost estimates using ACEIT (Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools). Experience must be with DoD Program Executive Office (PEO), Project Manager (O6 PM), or Product Manager (O5 PdM).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Operations Research Analyst Entry II will perform a wide variety of cost analysis assignments essential for supporting program life cycle cost estimates (LCCE) and program office estimates (POE). This position requires strong analytical abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in cost estimating, specifically using ACEIT.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; effective communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; familiarity with cost analysis tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cost analysis assignments to support the development of life cycle cost estimates (LCCE) and program office estimates (POE).
  • Develop or evaluate cost assessments and cost positions related to systems development, demonstration, and production approaches.
  • Assess the impact on systems and program costs, including analyses of prototype systems.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) that are suitable for Army and DoD level review.
  • Serve as a working leader to lower-grade personnel, providing expert technical guidance and information to meet requirements.
  • Review, assist, and mentor lower-grade employees’ work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate work efforts with Contract Officer Representatives to ensure alignment with contract specifications and requirements.
