Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Join LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, as Operations Research Analyst supporting FAA programs at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Atlantic City, NJ. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in software testing methodologies, testing tools, and frameworks to conduct quantitative analysis that enhances the effectiveness of procedural implementations and addresses performance issues. Your work will contribute to the development of decision management models, machine learning strategies, and data mining solutions that are critical to the success of FAA programs.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience.
  • A Ph.D. in a related field may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in operations research, software testing, and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience and understanding of software testing methodologies, as well as testing tools and frameworks.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills using operations research tools, economics, and other quantitative techniques.
  • Experience in creating analysis procedures and defining machine learning and data mining strategies.
  • Proven ability to create, deploy, maintain, and refine decision management models.
  • Expertise in modeling and simulation functions or operations related to health, environmental, transportation, law enforcement, and security for military and civilian agencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide clear and actionable insights.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work on-site at the WJHTC in Atlantic City, NJ, on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work location: Hybrid out of WJHTC, Atlantic City, NJ.
  • Work Hours: Normal Business Hours.
  • Travel: Minimal travel required for meetings and project support.
  • Physical requirements:
  • Extended Computer Use: Regular use of computer systems for analysis and modeling tasks.
  • Mobility: Ability to move within the office environment to collaborate with team members and access resources.
  • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for computer use and data analysis tasks.
  • Sitting/Standing: Primarily seated work with occasional standing for meetings and collaboration.
  • Background check: Public Trust Investigation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that analysis, modeling, and simulation activities align with program objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and report findings from analysis and modeling activities to stakeholders, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in operations research, software testing, and data analysis.
