Description:

Location: Onsite Washington DC
Security Clearance:
Must be a US Citizen eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Salary Range – $40,000 - $90,000

JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Research Analyst II for data collection, analytics and reporting that meet client requirements. Datasets provided by the client are analyzed for trends, anomalies and utilized for forecasting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years analytical or comparable experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience: TEAMS, Excel including queries, data tables, and conditional formatting in Excel required, visualization software preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
  • Ability to manage workload and schedule across multiple processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail for quality control of documents and artifacts
  • Good communication skills and strong teamwork
  • Flexible availability

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and the location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Possible lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to a team lead (Operations Analyst III/Project Manager)
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Compile information into reports to support meetings, ongoing updates to databases, and progress reports.
  • Participate in meetings with project stakeholders by completing read-aheads and presentations, and video/web/teleconferencing.
  • Knowledge management of documents and artifacts.
  • Quality control of project management documents and artifacts.
  • Formulate and apply mathematical or other modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
  • Identify problems and risks as well as engaging in problem resolution.
  • Provide support in the preparation and evaluation of technical documents, papers, studies, analysis, and briefings in support of daily operational reporting for Federal Government clients.
  • Prepare and execute detailed analyses of project and program management activities.
  • Support the development, tracking and analysis of trends and data.
  • Support the analysis of information from government agencies.
  • Support daily and ad hoc reporting to Federal Government clients.
  • . Standardize data collection by developing methods for database design and validation reporting.
  • Provide application analysis and data modeling design to collect data for centralized data warehouse.
  • Extract data from databases and data warehouses for reporting and to facilitate sharing between multiple data systems.
  • Apply a wide range of analytical techniques related to operations research, such as quantitative and qualitative modeling, probability and statistics, simulation, optimization, and other operation research, policy analysis and management science methods to examine issues and problems.
  • Perform statistical data collection requirement activities, such as preparing, processing, and coordinating ad hoc and standing collection requirements.
  • Design presentation graphics and other tools to explain statistical research findings to other professionals and non-technical audiences.
