Responsibilities:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team player to join our busy Markets Operations team.
You will have at least two years supervisory experience preferably gained in a similar retail or operations environment.
With excellent communication and organisational skills, you will be able to confidently supervise the small operative and cleaning team, ensuring the entire Market has high standards of cleanliness and health and safety, maintaining the welcoming, safe, award-winning environment that Bury Market is renowned for.
You must be confident in being a keyholder, responsible for opening and closing the Market, and available to assist with out of hours callouts when required.
With 150,000 visitors a week and 250+ traders, no two days are the same. Unforeseen challenges can arise on top of the daily routine, which will require you to use your initiative and prioritise your workload.
This is an interesting and varied role, primarily working on the shop floor, but with the need for you to complete some administrative procedures within the office.
You will be supported by a friendly, approachable Management team, directly reporting to the Operations Manager, with training and development opportunities for those who wish to progress.
With £20m worth of investment being made within the vicinity over the next 2 years, as well as future surrounding developments, this is an exciting time to join the team.
You will be required to work 37 hours per week on a rota basis, with the majority of your hours worked on Full Market days (Wednesday, Friday and Saturday).
5.30am starts, 7pm finishes, weekend and bank holiday working will be required.
A typical standard week would consist of:

Tuesday 8am to 12pm
Wednesday - 5.30am to 7pm
Thursday Off
Friday 5.30am to 10am / 3.30pm to 7pm
Saturday 5.30am to 7pm
