Description:

DP World is seeking an Operations Supervisor for its new service in Hinckley created and driven by a single purpose - to help small and mid-sized e-commerce businesses scale by offering technology-driven fulfillment solutions that enable business founders to devote more time to the things that matter most in their businesses. This role will be site based working Mon-Fri 8.30-5pm but with flexibility required.

YOUR KEY SKILLS:

  • Strong previous leadership experience in fast paced warehouse/fulfilment type environments
  • Highly numerate & IT Literate with excellent communication skills (between both customer and carriers)
  • Team Player with a hands on approach
  • Flexibility – to cover weekends and late deliveries when required.
  • Strong communication skills, with carriers and the customer.Warehouse operations knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team including Team Leaders and Operatives in the delivery of a fast paced distribution fulfilment service for a variety of e-commerce customers ensuring Customer Service Levels are met in line with Customer SLA’s
  • Achievement of productivity levels in line with agreed KPI’s
  • Ensure Team Leader and Team Members understand the need for safe working practices and adhere to the safe working methods and countermeasures
  • To successfully manage succession planning and support cross training amongst the teams to foster a multi skilled workforce culture
  • Ensure effective manpower planning is completed daily. Increase area versatility with robust training plans.
  • Manage headcount balance between permanent and temporary labour in area. Deal with all individual performance issues within 24 hours of incident.
  • To investigate, document and take appropriate action for issues which fall under the Company’s disciplinary and grievance policy and procedure this will include AIR investigations, performance, conduct and employee disputes
  • Ensure quality is kept in-line with six sigma to achieve the required DPM rate.
  • Make sure that the 5s programme is kept up to date.
  • Keep a daily communication channel open with other functions like Inventory, Admin etc
