Lynden International Logistics ULC is seeking a proactive Operations Supervisor to join our team and oversee daily warehouse operations at our facility in Milton. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in optimizing warehouse processes to meet performance targets, maintain high levels of productivity, and support operational goals.

WORKING SCHEDULE: Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday, 11:00AM - 7:30PM
REPORTING TO: Distribution Manager
SKILLS AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Good verbal communication with staff, giving clear and concise instructions. Ability to write clearly.
- Good labor relations skills to deal effectively with associates.
- Ability to make decisions within well-defined standard practices and procedures.
- Good analytical skills to solve inventory discrepancies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Secondary school diploma
- 2 years warehouse operations experience plus 3-5 years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule and allocate work to the hourly employees to ensure orders will be picked, packed and shipped in an efficient manner. This involves setting procedures to decide which orders to be dealt as a priority, which carrier to use, the time table for trucks coming in and out etc.
- In the case of returns, ensures that they are checked and stocked in accordance with clients’ instructions.
- Maintain employees’ attendance records. Makes sure the employment standards comply with the legislation, and conduct performance reviews.
- Train employees. Whenever necessary, conduct counseling with employees and maintain discipline.
- Plan staff requirements to meet future operational needs.
- Participate in improving the efficiency of the warehouse operations, i.e. reviews procedures, modifies equipment.
- Oversee the housekeeping of the warehouse, i.e. safety, security, machine maintenance, layout, stocking, inventory control of warehouse materials etc.
- Deal with unforeseen situations, i.e. requests for shipment of life saving drugs under emergency.
- On call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week for emergencies
