FIFO - Transport Operations Supervisor – Moomba
Global Logistics provides sophisticated supply chain solutions, from end-to-end or part solutions, warehousing and distribution to dedicated transport solutions, across the globe and to some of the most remote corners of the world.
We provide specialised integrated logistics services to customers in a range of industries including mining, chemical, gases, steel and plastics, petroleum, energy and Australian oil and gas industries and agriculture. The Role -
Toll Group are looking for a Transport Operations Supervisor, working a FIFO role consisting of a 2 week on 2 week off roster, to join our Global Logistics division based in Moomba S.A. The Transport Supervisor is responsible to lead Toll’s Minerals, Oil & Gas operation in the S.A region. You will be supporting the Contract in achieving the operational requirements across accountable customer contracts, enabling the execution of the contractual obligations and Transport KPI’s through cost effective driver rostering and resource allocation.

As the Transport Supervisor, you will:

  • Ensure operational staff are trained effectively in terms of expected behaviour’s’, responsibilities, equipment usage, policies and procedures, risk, COR and OH&S.
  • Maintain job results by coaching, counselling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results Comply with Toll’s governance framework.
  • Allocate people and assets to deliver on operational targets and service standards to meet the contractual obligations.
  • Build strong relationships with our customer/s to respond to daily / weekly changes in operational requirements.
  • Provide strong leadership, creating a positive workplace culture through collaboration and influencing the mindset of our people to improve the overall capability of the region.
  • Driver safety initiatives, ensure adhere to statutory and regulatory frameworks, whilst promoting a workplace of Safety First.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Logistics/Transport/Mining Industry
  • Fatigue Management Certification TLIF006
  • Dangerous Goods exposure.
  • Mechanical Aptitude to maintain a high standard of compliance for servicing schedules.
  • Ability to communicate clearly the value Toll can deliver via business outcomes and the customer.
  • Experience in leading / supervising a team with effective management skills.
  • Familiarisation and experience with handling and transporting industrial equipment commonly used by the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members at all organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a safety obsessed culture and a commitment to adhering to company policies and procedures to achieve desired outcomes.
