Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Veolia has a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join our team based in Lithgow 2790. As the Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the day to day operations and maintenance activities to ensure contractual obligations are met while upholding safety standards, customer satisfaction, and operational performance targets.
You will lead a team of operators and maintainers, optimising plant operations, managing assets, developing preventive maintenance strategies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. With your technical expertise and leadership skills, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the facility’s operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor plant operations, assist in plant optimisation, and share responsibility for plant performance
- Inspect and maintain facility assets such as pumps, valves, and instruments
- Supervise the completion of Work Orders, maintenance strategies, and schedules
- Prepare maintenance and incident reports
- Organise rosters, approve timesheets, overtime, and leave
- Monitor plant and equipment condition, address breakdowns and preventive maintenance
- Develop and supervise work orders for routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance
- Contribute to condition monitoring, root cause analysis, and asset integrity documentation
- Assess plant consumables and critical spare parts requirements
- Prepare and participate in Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Workshops
- Deliver minor projects and support continuous improvement activities
- Update the CMMS system with accurate data and feedback
- Formulate long-term preventive maintenance plans and plan large plant outages
- Develop maintenance work packs and shutdown maintenance schedules
- Implement cost effective maintenance systems and review material catalogue/stock requirements
