Description:

The Operations Support Analyst place of duty will be Headquarters MARFOREUR/AF. The Operations Support Analyst supports the AC/S for Operations (G3) and is the primary action officer facilitating the organization’s key battle rhythm events and performing critical information management functions, and also performs a variety of other administrative and financial tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of directly related military experience; OR 15 years of directly related military experience.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Possesses U.S. Citizenship, a valid U.S. Driver’s License, and a valid U.S. tourist passport.
  • Possesses a U.S. Secret or higher-level clearance.
  • Must be able and willing to travel anywhere in the United States and the EUCOM and AFRICOM Areas of Responsibility.
  • Must be able and willing to travel (may be up to 10%).
  • Must be able to work extended hours in support of surge requirements.
  • Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing, and able to brief senior military leaders
  • Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Fluency with Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate key battle rhythm event

• Perform information management in the Command and Control Information Environment (C2IE)• Assist management of the Training, Exercises, and Employment Plan (TEEP)

  • Performs Global Force Management (GFM) tasks including, but not limited to, responding to GFM Allocation Plan (GFMAP) modifications, conducting Request for Forces (RFF) actions, conducting Request for Support (RFS) actions, and coordinating or briefing GFM matters for the organization at internal and external meetings
  • Assist Marine forces deployment planning in the Force Management Tool (FMT) and the Joint Training Tool (JTT)
  • Assists in document management in the proper preservation of records.
  • Assists in fiscal planning and budgeting.
  • Provides general administrative support to the G3 as required
  • Reviews official travel authorizations and vouchers as a DTS Routing Official.
