We are looking for an Operations Support and Planning Bioprocess Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in Visp. You are responsible for supporting operations in the first manufacturing facility combining Bioconjugation and Microbial Technology in one asset. This includes production planning/scheduling, material planning, waste management, as well as being responsible for support operational units (washer, autoclave, freezers and storage rooms). The continuous coordination and planning which is a cross-functional effort is done in collaboration with the Leadership team, Supply Chain and Material Management team, Program management and central logistics.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferred areas of study: Pharmaceutical Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Supply chain or equivalent scientific degree.
  • Professional experience in production environment (GMP) in a pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Experience in SOP writing/execution.
  • Experience in production planning / scheduling in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology is a plus.
  • Proficient knowledge of Office programs, MS Project is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Trackwise, SAP and MES is a plus.
  • Experience in scheduling/capacity optimization programs is a plus.
  • English business fluent, German is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of detailed plans for production planning, maintenance planning, resource planning and availability of plant and equipment, using a scheduling / production planning tool.
  • Management of BOMs, Process orders and Master recipes in SAP.
  • Material Planning and coordination in collaboration with the Logistics Department.
  • SPOC for Waste management in collaboration with Logistics and Utilities Departments.
  • SPOC for Support units (freezers, refrigerators, cold rooms, freezer rooms, storage rooms), including respective alarms management.
  • Acting as Subject Matter Expert during customer audits and health authority inspections and maintaining assigned areas of responsibility at inspection readiness level. Especially for topics related to:
  • Material and Waste Management and Flows;
  • Washing and Autoclaving;
  • Environmental Monitoring.
  • Support Units (freezers, refrigerators, cold rooms, freezer rooms, storage rooms)
  • Responsible for delivering trainings, troubleshooting and authoring of documents for assigned areas of responsibility.
