SUMMARY

Operations Support Engineer leads the implementation of new technologies, develops safe operating procedures, and creates technical documentation to support efficient operations of Mobile Water Solutions in Germany. The responsibilities include monitoring asset telemetry data, overseeing factory acceptance testing, and coordinating the implementation of rental management software. The role plays a pivotal role in the successful deployment, operation, and maintenance of our water technologies.
The Operations Support Engineer reports to the Operations Manager, Northern Europe.
The role is predominantly based at MWS facility in Heinsberg, Germany. The role will also include occasional travel to customer locations and other MWS facilities in Europe.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering Qualification or similar technical degree.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the water treatment industry
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Proficiency in English and German to communicate effectively and clearly with both technical and non-technical personnel, including clients, team members, and management.
  • Knowledge of Google Application Suite and/or Microsoft Office software packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and diagnostic tools used in equipment servicing.
  • Capability to work across cultures, borders, and different methods of executing business within an international team.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License to drive in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and deployment of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Develop comprehensive and safe operating procedures to guide efficient operation and maintenance practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, specifications, and guidelines, to support operational activities.
  • Monitor asset remote telemetry data to ensure optimal performance and identify any anomalies or issues.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Mobile Water Solutions assets, incorporating feedback and technological advancements.
  • Oversee and participate in factory acceptance testing procedures to verify equipment performance and compliance.
  • Implement and coordinate rental management software to streamline operational processes and enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to plan and execute projects effectively, adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Work closely with Operations and Maintenance Managers to support their duties.
  • Participate in the out-of-hour call system.
  • Prepare and provide documentation to clients to ensure safe delivery, installation, and operation of equipment.
  • Create and maintain 5S strategies at the depot to ensure organizational efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Ensure adherence to QHSE policies and standards by fostering a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace, actively promoting safety initiatives, and complying with regulatory requirements, as the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees are fundamental to our organization.
  • Report any incidents, near-misses, or hazards promptly to management and assist in the investigation process to prevent future occurrences.
  • Performs other duties of similar nature and level assigned.
