On behalf of Our client AMS are currently recruiting UK wide for a number of Operations support Managers to effectively assist in our Supplier stabilization by fostering strong relationships to enhance and improve Cost, Quality and Delivery to our customer
Job description - the role
These Operations Support Manager positions are available on initial 12-month contracts and will need to spend approximately 75% of their working time travelling both domestically and internationally.

As an Operations Support Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Using a creative approach will establish sustainable, long term supply chains, providing a competitive edge for our client, our customers, and suppliers.
  • working with specific suppliers or plants to define the support programme and provide transparency on resources and activities required to address performance issues
  • leading the execution of the support programme and integrate across organisational boundaries to deliver it.
  • As an Operations Support Manager you will support engagements with the supply chain from the initial analytics, through the engagement to exit and handover back to the Supplier Management Team or Manufacturing Plant
  • You will drive the identification, development and implementation of these robust supply chain processes and tools to prevent future risks of failure.
  • Reporting to the Head of Operations Support you will take responsibility for driving performance with supply chain.

  • Effective problem solver, with knowledge and experience of using lean tools and techniques successfully to deliver improvements and create value
  • Experience of leading significant projects/activities across a range of improvement activities
  • Operational (manufacturing) experience
  • Planning & control knowledge / experience
  • Program management knowledge / experience
  • Engineering knowledge/experience
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Able to work in challenging environments, with great engagement and influencing skills, to build trust and strong relationships at all levels
