As a member of the Crane and Logistics team, you will play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials and equipment throughout the production process.
About Stegra
Founded in 2020, Stegra (formerly H2 Green Steel) was created with the purpose to decarbonize hard-to-abate industries. Construction of our first project – an integrated plant producing green hydrogen, green iron, and green steel – is well underway in Boden, Sweden. Slashing emissions using green hydrogen and renewable electricity, we’re starting a clean industrial revolution. Steel is just the beginning.
We are building a diverse and rapidly growing team spread across our site and offices in Boden and Stockholm, targeting close to 1500 employees by the end of 2025. Together, we focus on delivering green impact – for our people, customers, investors, society, and planet.
Key Accountabilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and cranes according to load charts and lifting plans.
- Lift, load, unload, store, and transport equipment and materials.
- Calculate load weights and determine appropriate lifting methods; ensure loads are properly rigged and balanced.
- Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
- Take action when failures or deviations occur, report issues, and participate in root cause analysis.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of safety practices and a strong safety culture.
- Assist team members with daily operations and maintain good housekeeping standards.
Your Experience:
- Relevant experience in crane operations or logistics.
- Familiarity with different types of cranes and lifting equipment.
- Strong understanding of load calculations and rigging techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret load charts and lift plans.
- Good command of English; Swedish is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work on rotating shifts.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Crane or Logistics Operator or similar role in construction or heavy industry.
