Description:
Our DS Smith site at Northfields in Louth, Lincolnshire is looking for Production Operatives to join their team.
The role is to operate on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days 6am-6pm, 2 nights 6pm-6am) across Production Machines, the post is for 42 hours per week however there may be potential for overtime.

Key responsibilities include;
- To be accountable for own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating in line with SSOW (safe systems of work) and company procedures to enable a safe working environment.
- To raise any unsafe acts seen immediately with individual(s) concerned and immediate reporting of health and safety incidents to management.
- To be responsible for the operation of machinery to ensure efficiencies are maximised and downtime is minimised.
- Achieve set productivity and performance targets ensuring consistent quality standards are met.
- Ensure that maintenance and cleaning tasks are carried out correctly and in line with the planned maintenance schedule. Support and assist with improvement initiatives.
Candidate profile - Desirable would be:
- Experience of running high speed production/packaging equipment.
- Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent Health & Safety awareness.
- Competency in Quality Standards & reporting procedures.
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Self-Motivated
- An understanding of paper & packaging process.
- Good mechanical aptitude
