ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.
As an operator front end loader 992, you will be responsible for playing a key role in safely loading and construction activities in the Mamatwan mining area.

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT AREN’T LIMITED TO:

• Front End Loaders are the secondary equipment at Mamatwan for loading waste or ore material and is critical equipment to replace an excavator on breakdown or maintenance to achieve overburden and ore budget volumes;
• Ensure continuous judgement during drill block preparations on where the high wall crest is whilst pushing loose material over the edge;
• Ensure continuous judgement of the orebody inclination for the correct approach angle during drill block preparation to prevent slipping and machine damage;
• Effective and efficient FEL operations supports preparational activities, which is critical within the mining cycle to unlock productivity of the primary fleet;
• Control the area where loading is taking place. FEL operator must give permission for any person or equipment to enter the loading area, including the haulers within the applicable cycle;
• Loading of haulers as per instruction and allocation, either Overburden or ROM material;
• Continuously construct a catchment berm as per standard along the toe of the high wall;
• Continuously construct a safety berm as per standard along the crest of the bench, 3 meters from the edge;
• Ensure continuous compliance of the loading sequence of a hauler – number of loads, placement of loads and fill factor of the hauler bowl.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

• Grade 10 for internal candidates and Grade 12 for external candidates;
• Equipment license CAT992;
• Equipment license on either Excavator, CAT777 Hauler, CAT dozer D8/D10, wheel dozer or grader is advantageous;
• Valid driver’s license.
