Operator - Heat Treatment

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure that Electrical pre heating (Resistance Pad and Induction heating) and PWHT (Post Weld Heat Treatment) process are carried out as per the approved procedure.
• Capable of managing and executing heat treatment activities by applying heat treatment procedure and relevant HTPS as per project requirements.
• Ensure that the workers are supplied with proper, tools and heating elements and the machines in use are Validated.
• Timely coordination of work progress with supervision/supervisors.
• Ensure all work is performed according to the required standards and within required time.
• Ensure effective & productive use of allocated manpower, consumables and materials. • Distribute the operators according to their experience and monitor their performances
• Maintain production records. Follow up and report work progress as required by the Supervision.
• Provide personnel appraisal and training requirement for subordinate.
• Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
• Attend training related to your task as required by Department.
• Liaise with other discipline foremen / supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, With the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
• Assist the senior foreman and supervisors in planning activities. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of works.
• Knowledge in electrical work and safety aspects of the work and also knowledge in day-to-day service activities of the machines.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

• Ability to understand PWHT/Preheating procedure.
• Secondary School Certificate or minimum 5 and above experience in same field.
• Training on Post Weld Heat Treatment and electrical pre heating.
• Basic Electrical Safety.
• Minimum 5 years as a heat treatment operator and 2 year as charge hand or technician in similar role.
