This position is located at our Kennewick, Washington Nitrogen site and is not available for remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform railcar and truck loading and offloading, startup, shutdown, and general operation of pumps, screws, belts, tanks, valves, and other process equipment.
- Conduct regular operational rounds to monitor equipment health.
- Perform some minor maintenance activities.
- Monitor and operate equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits.
- Assist with startup, shut down, and operation of processes and equipment from a field role.
- Respond to and appropriately addresses process and equipment upsets.
- Identify possible or current operating problems and recommend action to resolve any deficiencies in rate, quality, or mechanical operation.
- Safely handle of dry products, nitric acid and liquid fertilizer while loading rail cars and trucks
- Perform minor maintenance and housekeeping duties.
