This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

SUMMARY:

In a team of 3-4 people, your main task is to operate the systems for producing biodiesel and glycerin from vegetable oils and fats. Biodiesel is mainly used as an admixture with mineral diesel. The glycerin that is produced as a by-product is further refined and added to cosmetic products and food, for example.

Responsibilities:

Independently monitoring and control automated production systems in shift work (12 hours day, 24 hours off, 12 hours night, 48 hours off)
Control and compliance of the specified process parameters for product quality, quantity and energy consumption
Observation and evaluation of process trends and consultation with the production team
Maintenance and cleaning of systems and machines
Troubleshooting and independently fixing minor issues and, if necessary, initiation of corrective maintenance measures
Carrying out laboratory analyses to ensure quality
Compliance with all safety, environmental protection and health regulations
