Overview of the Role

Reporting to the Production, Supervisor (Cheese), the Operator, Production is responsible for assisting in the manufacturing and bulk format finishing/packaging of cheese in accordance with the standards and safety objectives established by Senior Management of the company.
Schedule: Wednesday - Friday 6:00pm - 6:00am
Salary: 25.90$/h
There are 2 salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $28.80/hour.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Operate all production equipment as per standard operating procedures to ensure the highest quality product possible
  • Responsible for receiving of raw materials such as incoming milk, UF Milk, cream, secondary culture, and whey
  • Record all required data and inventory entries with a high level of accuracy
  • Understand the disassembly & assembly of cheese production equipment
  • Assist in the manufacturing process and cleaning process as required
  • Ensure that safe conditions exist always within the work environment; will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of employees and comply with all requirements as stated in the Health and Safety policy
  • Full participation in the HACCP program and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Ensure the efficient and effective use of equipment and material resource
  • Must demonstrate teamwork, co-operation, responsibility, initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be self-motivated, results oriented and possess high degree of initiative, and work well with minimal supervision
  • Must be available to work various shifts, weekends, and work overtime as required
  • Demonstrate ability to use computer software and programs
  • Proficiency and dependability in current position
