Description:

An opportunity has arisen for an ophthalmic technician to join St Paul’s Eye Unit, Division of Ophthalmology team at Aintree University Hospital Elective Care Centre. This is a fixed term one year appointment .
We are looking for a reliable person who is able to pay close and accurate attention to detail. You must also demonstrate excellent communication skills, a caring manner with all ages and abilities and be able to empathise with and support patients and team members. Previous experience of working in an ophthalmic environment is desirable.
Hours to be worked flexibly between Monday - Saturday, 08:00 - 20:00, according to service need.
Assist and support clinicians in provision of ophthalmic diagnostic and therapy services
Participate in the development of self and others
Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients
Perform subjective tests of visual function
Perform objective assessments using ocular imaging
Assist in ophthalmic diagnostic procedures
Provide administrative support to the Ophthalmic Diagnostic & Therapy services
