Description:

PE Global Healthcare is recruiting Ophthalmic Technicians for our client with roles available in Cork, Waterford, and Kildare!

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • The Ophthalmic Technician will work alongside Optometrists and Ophthalmologists in a shared care setting.
  • The ideal candidate will have an interest in medical photography with a keen desire to learn and develop professional and clinical skills.
  • The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for performing preliminary eye function and diagnostic testing to help diagnose and treat eye conditions.
  • Full training is provided along with support to achieve internationally recognised qualifications in Ophthalmology.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous work experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. The ideal candidate may have experience in a medical clinic including medical administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing preliminary exams and tests.
  • Cleaning and maintaining ophthalmic equipment.
  • Supporting the ophthalmologist during eye surgeries and procedures.
  • Administering medications and topical treatments.
