Description:
PE Global Healthcare is recruiting Ophthalmic Technicians for our client with roles available in Cork, Waterford, and Kildare!
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- The Ophthalmic Technician will work alongside Optometrists and Ophthalmologists in a shared care setting.
- The ideal candidate will have an interest in medical photography with a keen desire to learn and develop professional and clinical skills.
- The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for performing preliminary eye function and diagnostic testing to help diagnose and treat eye conditions.
- Full training is provided along with support to achieve internationally recognised qualifications in Ophthalmology.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous work experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. The ideal candidate may have experience in a medical clinic including medical administration.

Responsibilities:
- Performing preliminary exams and tests.
- Cleaning and maintaining ophthalmic equipment.
- Supporting the ophthalmologist during eye surgeries and procedures.
