APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

  • Working closely with administrative staff and clinicians in order to achieve optimal decisions for overall patient care.
  • Maintaining the rosters for all clinical staff, liaising closely with the service manager, lead clinician, nursing team and theatres to arrange additional clinics and theatre lists; as well as ensuring all activity is cancelled for leave, rest days etc.
  • Monitoring clinic utilisation.
  • Ensuring that the decisions taken are fully informed and properly balanced, taking account of collective as well as individual need, and the requirement to live within available resources.
  • Genuinely promoting and supporting the delivery of national and local healthcare targets as one of the ways of raising healthcare standards for all.
