Description:

OPTICIAN - TVC

The Vision Clinic is currently seeking an Optician in to work in a fast-paced retail optical with a dynamic team.
Now hiring dual Licensed Optician.

Duties include:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Pre-screen clients to help evaluate their vision needs
  • Evaluate and interpret prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists based on patient needs within their scope of practice
  • Take and record accurate details of patient’s optical and facial particulars to source the best fit and style
  • Assist clients with the selection and fitting of prescription contact lenses, spectacle lenses, frames, and sunglasses
  • Work with provided equipment to adjust or design contact lenses and frames for clients
  • Complete additional daily office tasks such a record keeping, insurance payment processing, maintaining accurate inventory, and tracking requests
  • Support patients in scheduling optometrist appointments
  • Create work orders for the lab and provide all relevant information for manufacturing lenses
  • All tasks associated with contact lens fitting and evaluations
  • Maintain a safe and exceptional level of health care cleanliness at all times
  • General office duties to support the efficiency and smooth operation of the store

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered and Licensed Optician in good standing with the College of Opticians of Ontario
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer knowledge and administrative abilities
  • Excellent communication skills; pleasant telephone manner
  • Fashionable, professional attire
