Description:

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Optometric Assistant to join our group. The right candidate will be able to work well independently and as part of a team, have strong attention to detail and be compassionate, honest and hardworking. The successful Optometric Assistant will possess the ability to take initiative, solve problems and communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Provide assistance to the optometrist during examinations and treatments.
  • Administer tests and assist in filling out patient forms.
  • Record measurements of patients’ eye pressure, test results, and print out reports.
  • Prepare treatment areas for appointments and keep them clean and tidy.
  • Explain procedures to patients.
  • Assist Patients in Optical Dispensary and process Glasses/Contact Lenses Orders
  • Communicate with other healthcare providers.
  • Process insurance claims and verify patient information.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
