• We at #CosMicIT are looking for #Oracle Exadata

Locations: Remote/Onsite/Nearshore
Experience :- 7 to 12 Years
Job Description :
-
- Oracle Exadata – Database Machine Administration
- A minimum of 7+ years experience managing exadata systems
- Exadata capacity expansion (DB server/node & storage server addition)
- Schedule and work with Oracle for patching Exadata (on DB servers, storage servers, switches) including QFSD patching on Exadata
- Patch Communication and Patch Inventory Management
- End to end monitoring of Exadata components and support/coordinating in resolving issues (ASR/Network/firewall, etc.)
- Management of Oracle Exadata Hardware is with OEM (Oracle)
- Virtual Machines running on Exadata will be maintained by the DBA.
- All Exadata OS level tasks (e.g., patching, creating users/groups etc) on these VMs will be internally handled, instead of Compute Team
- Coordinating and Planning with Oracle vendor for Exadata maintenance/hardware/software expansion
- Exadata Database Consolidations, Migrations, and Upgrades
- On-prem database migrations to Exadata
- Complete DB support for databases on Exadata
- Support and liaison with Oracle and internal teams (DC/Network/security teams) for capacity expansion
- Coordinate with Oracle and internal teams for hardware issues and support post hardware replacement.
- Proactive monitoring of complete Exadata landscape including gateway and jump servers.
- Strong knowledge of Exadata, Real Application Clusters, Oracle database, Storage, and Linux fundamentals.
