This position is primarily remote. Candidates considered for this opportunity must be located within a 2-hour commuting distance from our Princeton, MN facility.

SUMMARY:

The Oracle Full Stack Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of both front and back-end software applications. This position performs advanced-level application analysis, design, development, debug, unit testing, and implementation activities in both Oracle on-prem environments, as well as cloud-based environments (OCI). The Oracle Full Stack Engineer provides input and feedback to others on topics of architecture design, code quality and business solutions. This position also provides technical leadership to other members of the IT Development team.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities.
  • Bachelors’ degree in computer programming or similar degree program.
  • 6+ years of Oracle applications database administration or experience in a DevOps role.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Researches, plans, installs, patches, and upgrades Oracle applications and database components.
  • Clones Oracle application and database tiers.
  • Starts/stops eBusiness application and database tier components.
  • Monitors application and database performance, performs tests, corrects errors, and makes necessary modifications.
  • Assists in implementing security measures to safeguard information against unauthorized use.
  • Develops and directs software testing and validation processes, programming, and recordkeeping.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders, IT Development, and the PMO group to coordinate database development and determine project scope.
  • Trains application users, database users, and responds to questions.
  • Implements and maintains disaster recovery technologies and processes.
  • Configures multiple concurrent managers for performance tuning and load distribution.
  • Works with the Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control Application Management, Configuration Management, and tuning packs.
  • Maintains and monitors the Linux operating system, file system, and updates.
  • Performs system administration over the Linux environment, including bash shell scripting.
  • Acts as a technology consultant to assist IT Development and functional business leaders in implementing strategic initiatives; both in reference to functional use as well as IT infrastructure planning.
  • Researches and recommends system improvements, either by re-architecting the hardware or tech stack tier layouts.
  • Responds to alert messages from all levels of the Oracle application and database.
  • Assists other team members with day-to-day activities on an as needed basis.
  • Provides daytime and on-call support as needed.
  • Fully documents work performed.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not have any direct reports, however, will be responsible for providing technical leadership to other members of the IT Development team.
