Description:

Nationwide are seeking an experienced Lead Oracle HCM Payroll & Absence Consultant to join our People Data and Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, configuring and supporting our Oracle HCM Payroll module to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing for our c. 18,500 employees. You’ll work closely with our payroll team and support consultant colleagues developing their Oracle payroll capability.
The People Data and Technology team at Nationwide support our extensive Oracle HCM Cloud platform covering Core HR, Payroll & Absence, Talent & Learning, Compensation, Help Desk and Digital Assistant. The team also provide people data & analytics across the Society.

ABOUT YOU

The Successful candidate will have:

  • Strong experience in Oracle HCM Payroll implementation and support, with UK legislation
  • Experience preferred of end-to-end implementation and migration projects
  • Strong experience in writing & debugging Fast Formula
  • Experience with BIP, OTBI, SQL, HCM Extract and HCM Data Loader
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and UK legislative requirements
  • Proficiency across multiple Oracle HCM Cloud modules
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage with stakeholders at different levels

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and configure Oracle HCM Payroll & Absence functionality to meet business & legislative requirements
  • Provide end-to-end support for Oracle HCM Payroll monthly and annual processes
  • Provide end to end support for absence related processes and issues – holiday, sickness and statutory absence
  • Analyse and resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies
  • Lead on change and support activities
  • Support wider Data team with payroll & absence reports in HCM extract, OTBI and BIP
  • Liaise with areas of the People Function and wider Nationwide business teams to integrate payroll with other business systems
  • Create and maintain robust documentation e.g config workbook, functional specification, impact assessment
  • Upskill colleagues on payroll & absence processes and functionality, and provide support to the payroll team for operational effectiveness
  • Stay updated with Oracle HCM updates and best practices
