The Scottish Government Digital Directorate’s vision is to provide, and continually improve, a shared government cloud platform service launched in March 2023, following successful alpha and beta phases. The service’s purpose is to enable better and faster adoption of the cloud.
The Data Governance Manager role is part of a growing team developing and operating that service, working alongside other infrastructure engineers and engineers practicing DevOps. The cloud platform service is part of the wider Digital Strategy of the Scottish Government to build a suite of common platforms and commit to their rapid adoption and re-use across the public sector, helping public services to be delivered in a more secure and efficient way. Responsibilities:

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Take the lead on ensuring clear and consistent communications and information management throughout the governance structure between the technical and non-technical parts of the service.
  • Responsible for ensuring there is a robust mechanism in place for tracking and reporting KPIs, Risk Management and Management Information reports.
  • Working with relevant stakeholders, define, design, build and run solutions to effectively manage the coordination and consolidation of cloud platform service operational data and processes.
  • Ownership and management of the Customer Relationship tools.
  • Contribute to the implementation of a framework to provide ongoing assurance of how our customers align with our shared responsibility model and carry out activities identified within framework.
  • Undertake Budget Centre Liaison Officer Duties and support Service Owner with financial reporting.
