We are looking for a seasoned Organisation Design and Development Manager to join our team at Heathrow. The chosen individual will be responsible for defining, managing, and implementing Organisational Effectiveness initiatives at Heathrow, aligning with the business and people strategy.
This position offers significant opportunities to impact and shape strategic thinking, and we are looking for a candidate brings subject matter expertise to enhance our organisational effectiveness capability at Heathrow.

You should have prior experience working in a large organisation, preferably in a matrixed environment, and demonstrate expertise in organisation design, development, or people change. You are likely to be an expert in organisational design or development or have acquired these skills in a strategic people business partnering role.

  • Leading pragmatic and practical end to end organisation design and implementation initiatives, and drive capability development and workforce planning to improve overall capability
  • Developing high-level operating model solutions that enable Heathrow’s strategy execution and creates detailed organisation design solutions.
  • Using data and insight to diagnose issues, creating compelling cases for change with evidence-based recommendations that will drive business improvements
  • Being able to provide challenge and support to the business and people partners, using organisational data and insights to drive workforce improvements
  • Being confident to challenge the status quo and bring the outside-in fresh thinking and innovation into the team.
  • Helping establish and embed the OD function
  • Creating audit and diagnostic tools to measure organisational effectiveness, to help create an OE roadmap
  • Technical expertism: A Organisational Design (OD) and Development practitioner with previous experience leading OD strategy and initiatives; Strong understanding of OD methodologies and previous project management experience
  • Impact and influencing: Credible to act as a trusted advisor, centre of excellence, to influence senior leaders with a track record of successful delivery.
  • Data driven ability to build strong cases for change, which are evidence based and compelling, so as to secure consensus from senior colleagues and teams.
  • Communication: a strong storyteller and able to translate people and OD speak into a meaningful narrative to senior leaders in a way that is relevant to the business leader and their strategic objectives.Experience in working cross-functionally in a matrix environment.
