ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge and skills are normally acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Psychology or Business, plus related experience in a complex, unionized environment.
- Knowledge of principles and practices in OD, TM, and HR, including leading practices in change theory, adult learning, behavioural sciences.
- Project management skills, with experience developing and implementing HR programs designed around user needs to enable and facilitate adoption of new processes.
- Knowledge or experience using SAP SuccessFactors or similar human experience management (HXM) or human capital management (HCM) technology.
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with policies, procedures, collective agreements, and related legislation (e.g., human rights, employment standards, accessibility, privacy, copyright).
- Continuous improvement, problem solving, research, creativity, and innovative thinking skills to identify issues/trends and find new, unique, realistic, standardized, and user-friendly solutions.
- Ability to manage projects; adapt to changing priorities and balance requests; plan, recommend, evaluate, and implement programs and initiatives; and track and ensure program documentation and components are in place to meet competing demands, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to exercise political acuity, judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
- Ability to develop evidence-informed recommendations that balance the needs and perspectives of multiple users with technical and operational constraints.
- Leadership, relationship building, collaboration, presentation, and facilitation skills to coordinate and collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders; build partnerships, networks, and client relationships; share expertise and provoke thinking to effectively influence stakeholders and clients; and participate as an effective team member.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Supports the Organization Development (OD) team in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and processes, with an emphasis on leveraging the use of technology-enabled solutions to further program effectiveness and enhance the employee experience.
Manages projects by developing and updating project plans, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, developing program materials, and assessing program and technical requirements.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports Senior OD Consultants and the Manager in their program leadership on performance management, goal management, competencies, succession planning, career development, 360 reviews, employee recognition, and mentoring.
- Maintains an understanding of the Region’s overall roadmap for enhancing the employee experience through technology-enabled projects and programs, and builds relationships with key stakeholders.
- Supports the team by developing project plans for programs, including talent management (TM) programs (such as performance, goals, and succession planning). Develops and maintains project files, updates project plans, identifies key stakeholders, and reports on project status and updates.
- Reviews and interprets technical requirements and features of TM software, and ensures requirements and specifications are reflected in project plans.
- Prepares materials such as briefing notes and presentations to enable project leads, sponsors, and stakeholders to make strategic and operational decisions.
- Conducts research to understand current processes, and develops process maps for current and future processes.
- Supports stakeholder engagement activities, such as interviews and focus groups, by scheduling activities, developing pre-communication and facilitation materials, and facilitating engagement activities. Collates and report on stakeholder feedback.
- Conducts research on best practices, and takes an evidence-informed approach to proposing recommendations.
- Tests and configures TM software, taking ownership of identifying issues and collaborating with key partners on resolution.
- In collaboration with internal subject matters experts, develops training materials to support users of TM processes, including live and recorded training deliveries, leader guides, and process guides, and supports successful adoption during implementation.
- Supports the development of change management and communication plans, and executes change and communication activities.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OD programs and implement efficiencies.
- Incorporates leading practice OD theories and concepts (including change theory, adult learning, and behavioural sciences) into program development and recommendations.
- Prioritizes continuous learning on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and incorporates learnings into approach and development of OD programs.
- Performs related duties as required.
