About the Role:
The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Practice Lead will manage the enterprise OCM center of expertise and mature the organization’s change capabilities. This role will require interfacing with key stakeholders and senior leadership across the organization to ensure change readiness, mitigate risk, minimize disruption and enable adoption to achieve desired business outcomes. This role will report to the Head of Enterprise Change Management and will have a team of dedicated OCM professionals reporting to them.
Major Duties:
- Change Readiness and Adoption: Create and implement standards and templates to support change readiness and adoption. This includes developing strategies and plans to manage the people-side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, and technology.
- Change Impact Analysis: Conduct change impact analysis and lead change impact sessions for high-impact, strategic change initiatives. This involves identifying potential risks and anticipating resistance to ensure smooth transitions.
- Group Impact Analysis: Analyze change impact by group to ensure capacity for adoption. This includes working closely with each group to understand their unique needs and challenges and developing tailored strategies to support them through the change.
- Communication and Training: Lead communication and training initiatives with support from the Marketing, Communications and HR departments. This involves developing and delivering effective communication and training materials to help employees understand and adopt changes.
- Adoption Monitoring: Monitor adoption to sustain the change. This includes tracking adoption metrics and addressing any issues or resistance.
- Change Portfolio Management: Manage the change portfolio by looking across initiatives for synergies and managing the pace of change. This includes identifying change saturation and deploying tactics to mitigate risk.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure proper resources are deployed on strategic initiatives. This involves assessing resource needs, allocating resources effectively, and adjusting as necessary to ensure the success of strategic initiatives.
- Change Leadership Coaching and Sponsorship: Provide coaching to leaders and sponsors within the organization, equipping them with the understanding and skills needed to lead their teams through change. This includes fostering a supportive environment for change, promoting open communication, and encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
- OCM Capability Maturation: Responsible for maturing the OCM capability within the organization. This includes developing and refining the OCM methodology, standards, and tools to ensure effective and consistent change management practices across the organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in related field and a proven track record of leading change management initiatives at the executive level, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. They should possess:
- Strong analytical skills to understand the impact of changes at different levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills to convey the need for change in a way that promotes buy-in and adoption.
- Proactive in monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of change management
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams including HR and Marketing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to set and implement OCM direction and strategy.
- Preference will be given to individuals with an accredited Change Management certification
