Position Type: 18-months contract
Location: North York, ON
Compensation Range: $75K - $85K
Our client, a national charity which provides a wide range of services to people with disabilities, is seeking a “Change Manager.”
As a key member of People & Culture’s transformation team, the Change Manager will be responsible for supporting the people side of change for several enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. This role will report to the Director, People and Culture Transformation.
The Change Manager will be responsible for ensuring the right plans are in place to support and prepare the people to successfully adopt new ways of working that will include new technology adoption and behaviour and mindset changes. The incumbent will be a change professional with experience supporting enterprise-wide change in mid-sized to large organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related subject
  • Prosci Change Management certification is preferred
  • Project Management certification is an asset
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in change management with large-scale/organization-wide projects that focus on behaviour and mindset change
  • Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Acute business acumen and ability to diagnose/analyze organizational issues and challenges
  • Creative problem solver able to think outside-the-box to find solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, make recommendations and take appropriate action
  • Experience drafting internal communications to support change management initiatives is an asset
  • Experience creating training materials and/or facilitating training sessions to an internal audience is considered an asset
  • Flexible and adaptable; comfortable working in ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, demonstrating judgment in prioritizing work

    The indicated pay range for this position is a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Additionally, it is emphasized that the pay band mentioned herein is the one established by the client company. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work. Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay. Responsibilities:

  • Apply the Prosci change management methodology, process and tools to enterprise transformation projects, to support the organization’s development of enterprise change management maturity.
  • Develop the change management strategy in partnership with the project leads, project manager and People & Culture Transformation team.
  • Assess the change scope and impact for all project stakeholders.
  • Create the integrated Change Management Plan that includes an assessment of change scope, impact assessments for all project stakeholders, the sponsor action plan, the recommended coaching plan for people leaders, and methods for assessing effectiveness and generating feedback to make plan adjustments along the way
  • Work in partnership with Internal Communications and Learning & Development across the scope of the project to map training and communication needs, providing input and recommendations to using change management best practices to support employee adoption and change success
  • Define, measure, analyze, and monitor change activities, reporting on change effectiveness and achievement of project outcomes
  • Identify, engage and guide key stakeholders to lead and support change adoption
  • Anticipate, manage and make recommendations to address resistance as an integral part of the change plan
  • Directly coach people managers and supervisors to support effective change management
  • Collaborate with project managers and staff to build capacity for change management and ensure best practices, tools and approaches are consistently applied to overall program management and within individual projects
  • Work independently and exercise judgment in escalating non-routine situations to management
