About the role

  • This position manages and maintains the corporate operating room management information system (ORMIS) and provides analytic functions and reports that assist Peri and Post operative Services to provide efficient, costeffective quality patient care.
  • Includes support to Gastroenterology Services Information System Solutions ESISS, HTrak (Inventory System) and AARK (Anaesthetic System)
  • Support the Elective Surgery Coordinator.

About you

This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:

  • Ability to work with limited direction, including undertaking tasks of a complex or specific nature.
  • Exercise judgment and discretion in tasks whilst being responsible for the quality of work undertaken, analysis reports and clarify when required.
  • Have full knowledge of the ORMIS definitions, KPI’s for ORMIS related targets. Be responsible for relaying the expectations, educating of medical staff to achieve Targets.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision and participate as a positive member within a multidisciplinary team while displaying strong work ethics.
  • Maintain a high level of skill with accuracy in all computer systems including Word and Excel and patient systems such as HBCIS, ORMIS, ESSIS, QHERS HTrak and AARK.
  • Develop and maintain quality data audits and implement data integrity procedures.
  • Responsible for the coordination, support, enhancement and ongoing management of data and data sets within the operating room management information system, including inventory on the HTrak system.
  • Coordinate local and participate in corporate user group committees and general meetings to present reports to attendees from a broad sector of Surgical Services Unit, explain variables and definitions of the reports, communicate to the staff outcomes of those meetings. At all times obeying COVID restrictions and Code of Conduct.
