Description:

  1. To provide day-to-day operational management for the designated department.
  2. To oversee the outpatient function of the designated departments including booking processes,
    efficiency and adherence to performance targets.
  3. To develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative team and outpatient functions for
    the designated departments including administration staff including recruitment, appraisals,
    performance and continuous professional development
  4. Support the Service Managers and Clinical Leads in delivering the Trust’s key performance targets
  5. To support the Service Managers and Clinical Leads in formulating the strategic direction and
    vision of services.
  6. To liaise with the multidisciplinary teams within the departments to facilitate improvements in
    quality of care.
  7. Support Service Managers in identifying capacity and demand issues.
  8. Presenting outpatient and administration updated to the clinical governance forum.
  9. Deputising for the Assistant Service Managers/Service Manager in their absence
    Support the Service Manager and Clinical Leads in delivering the Trust’s key performance targets
    Clinic management - ensuring full utilisation and efficiency
    Manage annual / study leave & sickness
    Direct line management of B3 (appraisals, leave)
    Identifying & managing capacity & demand issues with support from ASM’s and SM
    liaise with the multidisciplinary teams within the departments to facilitate improvements in quality of care
