Description:
Your Opportunity:
Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, as an LPN-Orthopedic Technician (Ortho Tech), you will apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints and traction equipment utilized in the care of orthopedic patients as well as operate orthopedic equipment. You will perform dressing changes and wound packing, remove suture/staples and apply steri-strips as ordered by the physician. You will provide assistance to the Orthopedic Surgeon as directed. You will observe, monitor, report and document changes in the patient’s physical, mental and emotional state, while providing safe and effective, quality care. You will provide guidance and instructions to patients and their families in relation to orthopedic injury, procedure, treatment to assist them in reaching their maximum potential for healing and recovery. You will provide instruction related to the safe care and use of all walking aids, casts, splints and braces.
