Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Assistant Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 – 12 years in Before School Care & After School Care at our Woy Woy location.
This is a maternity leave fixed term contract up to October 2025, working 35 hours per week with the potential for the position to become permanent.
During term time and vacation care time this role has split shifts working Monday to Friday, in the mornings from 6.30 am to 9am. Afternoon hours are 2pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
DUTIES
- Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
- Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests, needs of school age children, and meets the requirements of the ‘My Time - Our Place’ Framework.
- Ensure Compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
- Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
- Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service, providing guidance and support.
- Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
- Willingness to engage in professional development.
