Whether you’re experienced in the Education or childcare sector or this is the first time you’re thinking about working with children, THIS is the role for you!
A service based in Belgrave South is looking for a passionate and organised Coordinator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 29 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!
Hours are as follows: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 09:00 AM ( Rise then Shine Program ) and 03:00 – 06:00 PM ( Stay and Play Program ) plus 4 additional admin hours.
In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $500 commencement bonus at the completion of first month plus another $500 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.

ABOUT THE SERVICE:

With several JAG services within a short distance, you would be joining a team of collaborative leaders and educators who are embedded in the local community. From local cafes and markets to lantern festivals, there are many exciting opportunities for you to contribute to. They have a permanent OSHC space plus access to the school gym, outdoor area and shared kitchen. You would be leading an Educator who is on every shift, plus several consistent casual Educators as needed. With the support and training provided, this is a great role for either an established Coordinator, or someone new to the industry!
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You’ll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service. Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into! Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have: Enjoy working with kids Strong and clear communication Team player with a desire to become a service leader Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we’ll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children Obtained or studying towards a relevant Diploma equivalent qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA Australian work rights
